Shipping
We create most items to order, the time required for production and delivery may vary depending on the complexity of the piece. However, we strive to ship your order as quickly as possible and often sooner than expected. You will receive an email confirmation with tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.
If you have a specific deadline or require expedited shipping, we may be able to accommodate your request. Please reach out to us via email at contact@karatdesigns.com to discuss your needs.
Please note that severe weather conditions may impact these timeframes. You agree that Karat Designs is not liable for any delay caused by weather conditions or similar events outside of our or the shipping providers’ reasonable control.
All shipments are insured until confirmed delivered by the courier. The timeframes for the delivery options below start after orders have been shipped.
Standard Shipping: Delivery within 5-7 business days (domestic) and 7-14 business days (international).
Expedited Shipping: Faster delivery options, such as USPS Priority Mail, UPS 2nd Day Air, UPS Next Day Air are available at checkout. Additional fees may apply.
We ship orders using UPS or DHL, and all items are fully insured for their value until confirmed delivery by the courier. To keep the insurance valid, we cannot change the delivery address after shipping. Orders over $300 will require a signature upon delivery.
Customs, Duties and Taxes: Customs processes and import duties are the responsibility of the customer; please check with your local customs office for information.
You may request a cancellation within 24 hours of making a purchase. To make a cancellation or address change request, please contact us directly at contact@karatdesigns.com with your order number in the subject line.
If a cancellation is requested after 24 hours, the order will already be in production. In those cases, a restocking or production fee will apply based on the stage your piece is in at the time of cancellation.
- A signature is required for all shipments.
- We do not ship to freight forwarding companies or P.O. box addresses, we can only ship to physical addresses.
- Orders to APO/FPO addresses will be transferred to USPS for delivery.
- For security purposes, your shipping address cannot be changed after the order has been placed.
- Once your order ships, we are unable to redirect your package to a different address.
- Risk of loss and title of the item pass to you, the customer, once the shipping carrier has confirmed that the package has been delivered.
- We are not responsible for shipping delays due to inclement weather, carrier delays, incorrect address, or updated address information.
Returns
At Karat Designs, every custom and pre-designed piece is made to order. For this reason, all such jewelry purchases are final sale and non-refundable, including deposits. No Exceptions. We are committed to creating pieces you’ll truly love and encourage you to review all design details before placing your order.
Gift cards cannot be transferred and are ineligible for returns or redemption for cash. Any remaining balance will remain accessible for future purchases using the same gift card reference code. Karat Designs assumes no liability for lost or stolen gift cards.
If your order arrives damaged, please e-mail us at contact@karatdesigns.com. Claims for damaged items must be reported, with details and images, within 24 hours of delivery. Please note we can’t take responsibility for lost or damaged return shipments.
Additional
You must have a valid business license and actively work in the jewelry trade. Please email your business license/sellers permit and sales tax exemption documents to contact@karatdesigns.com.
We have no minimum order requirement.
Karat Designs offers both natural and lab-grown diamonds, as well as colored gemstone options. Our team will review the available choices with you and help source stones that match your preferences.
Diamonds 0.50 ct. and larger are third-party certified by GIA, GCAL, or IGI.
We manufacture fine jewelry in all purities of solid gold. Other metals are available upon request.
- Any item that cannot be delivered, is unclaimed, or is refused due to account error, absence, negligence, or incorrect information will incur a return or re-route fee. If the account requests the item to be sent again, an additional shipping charge will apply.
- If the account chooses not to have the item reshipped, a restocking fee will be applied, along with any extra costs associated with labor and material loss from scheduled production.
- After the third delivery attempt, the carrier will return the package to the sender in accordance with insurance policies.
- All listed or quoted item prices are estimates. Total diamond weights are also approximate. Final charges are calculated based on the raw metal weight and diamond total weight. Pricing and invoices are locked at the time of shipment. Please keep this in mind when providing quotes to your customers.
- Same-day cancellations will not incur any charges. Any item canceled after the first day will be subject to a cancellation fee based on the metal type. Any and all items cancelled are subject to additional charges to cover all labor and loss of materials used during scheduled production.
